JAMMU, Mar 19: Advising the government to take concrete steps for immediate deportation of illegal immigrants (Rohingyas and Bangladeshis), the National Secular Forum (NSF) today protest against the BJP-PDP Govt. Addressing the gathering here today, Dr Vikas Sharma State President NSF, said that illegal immigrants were posing grave security threat to the people of Jammu and they should be deported at the earliest.

He also took dig at the sympathizers of illegal immigrants who are sheltering them and facilitating their settlement in Jammu. He further highlighted the paramount urgency of immediate deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi from the Jammu division and said that government framed a committee vide Govt order No 510 Gad of 2017 dated 24-04-17 to look into the issue and send recommendations to Government for deportation of Rohingyas from Jammu under the headship of Dr Nirmal Singh who allegedly is either disinterested to watch the interests of Jammu people or serving as a puppet in the hands of PDP and Kashmiri leaders because of his poor background as a sound administrator for fear of losing his job as a minister.

Castigating the seed of illegally settling Rohingyas in Jammu and other districts of this region sown by previous government, Dr. Vikas said that BJP ministers have also joined hands with conspirators in the political and government circles to further precipitate change of demography in Jammu, thus putting the future of coming generation in this part of the state in a great thick soup. Unfolding the nexus between government agencies and local sympathizers of Rohangiyas, Dr Vikas said that the Power Development Department (PDD) sanctioned as many as 7273 connections to the Rohingya and Bangladeshis presently putting up in Jhuggies at different places like Karyani Talab, Rakia Nallah, Narwal, Sunjwan, Bhathindi and its adjoining areas from 2008 to Feb 2017 and added that illegal immigrants have been provided with the electricity connections whereas the genuine state subjects of the state are being made to run from pillar to post to get connection.

It speaks volume about the larger plan to settle the illegal immigrants in Jammu wherein the people sitting at the helm of affairs are facilitating the same at the instance of their political bosses,” he alleged. Warning the government to desist from changing the demographic scenario of Jammu at the behest of separatists and other anti national forces, Dr Vikas said that National Secular Forum has chalked its long schedule to launch state wide agitation against the government and BJP ministers for the coming whole year to expose the representatives of public who have obviously become party to the conspiracy to discourage deportation of these illegal immigrants from Jammu.
